Drone Roof & Asset Inspections
Drone inspections are transforming how buildings, roofs and difficult-to-access structures are inspected. For property owners, surveyors and asset managers responsible for individual buildings or large property portfolios, drones provide an efficient way to capture detailed imagery and build a comprehensive visual record of asset conditions.
Our professional drone inspections capture 4K Ultra High Definition imagery of roofs, façades, buildings and other structures from multiple angles, helping identify visible defects, assess deterioration and support ongoing maintenance planning.
Importantly, drone inspections reduce the risks associated with working at height, often removing the need for scaffolding, access platforms or specialist access equipment. This makes inspections safer, faster and more cost-effective than many traditional inspection methods.

Why use a drone
Drone inspection: safer, faster & cheaper
Advances in drone technology mean the need for traditional inspection methods is decreasing, yet many companies have still to embrace it. Where a drone inspection is faster and safer, we can complement traditional surveying methods to achieve a better result in a fraction of the time.
Contact us to discuss your needs and one of our team will guide you through the different surveys and inspections we can offer.
All flights are carried out by CAA-registered pilots. We hold £10m public liability insurance and specialist UAV cover meeting the requirements of EC Regulation 785/2004.

Replacing ladders, cranes and cherry pickers
Previously, surveyors may have used ladders, cranes or cherry pickers, involving dangerous work at height and expensive equipment hire. After all that expense and time, you still may not be able to see everything you need to.
- No dangerous work at height. The drone goes up, so your team and ours stay on the ground.
- No expensive equipment hire. There are no cranes, cherry pickers or access platforms to book.
- Fewer road closures. Traditional access can mean applying for a road closure permit, which can be costly and slow.
- Every angle captured. The drone reaches the smallest spaces and shows angles of your assets you may never have seen before.
- Live VR viewing. Ask about our virtual reality headset, which lets you watch the whole flight and guide the pilot to capture more.
No cranes · No cherry pickers
Structures captured from the air, from angles that are impossible to reach safely off ladders or with mewps.

How it works
Our drone inspection process
From first enquiry to secure delivery, every survey follows the same six steps, so you always know what happens next and when.
Tell us about the asset
Email us the site address with postcode, the asset you need inspecting and what you need from the inspection. We’ll come back with the options available.
Planning and quote
We carry out a desktop assessment of the property and the surrounding airspace, check the survey against current UK drone regulations, and prepare your quote. You receive it by email with no obligation, along with the airspace map for your site and an example delivery so you can see exactly what you’ll be getting.
Booking your date
Once you’re happy with the quote we add your job to the schedule and start monitoring the Met Office forecast. In the meantime we prepare the pre-flight paperwork, including our risk assessment and method statement (RAMS), which we can send over for your records. As soon as we have a clear weather window and pilot availability, we confirm your attendance date. You don’t normally need to be on site.
The inspection
Our CAA approved pilot works systematically around the asset, capturing the agreed areas in high-resolution overlapping imagery and 4K video.
Processing
Every image is checked and organised into colour-coded folders by asset, elevation or area. Any reporting, measurements or additional outputs you’ve asked for are completed at this stage.
Delivery
We email you a link to our secure online portal, where your imagery, reports and any other agreed outputs are ready to view, download and share with your team or contractors. Alongside the deliverables you’ll find a folder containing the pre-flight paperwork, a copy of the drone airspace map for your site and any other relevant documents, so everything from the survey is in one place.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most often about drone inspections. If yours is not covered here, give us a call.
What is a drone asset inspection?
A drone asset inspection is a visual inspection of a roof, building or structure carried out using a remotely piloted aircraft instead of ladders, cranes or cherry pickers. We capture 4K imagery and video from every angle, producing a dated visual record of the asset’s condition that can be reviewed, shared and stored.
What assets can you inspect?
Clients most commonly ask us to inspect roofs, facades, scaffolding, buildings, churches, flare stacks, water towers, wind turbines, communication towers and chimneys. If your asset is not on the list, get in touch and we will tell you what is possible.
How much does a drone inspection cost?
Cost depends on the type, size and complexity of the asset, its location, and whether you need imagery alone or a fuller package with reporting or 3D outputs. We provide a fixed, no-obligation quote, and because there is no access equipment to hire, a drone inspection is typically a fraction of the cost of a traditional one.
Is a drone inspection safer than traditional methods?
Yes. Nobody needs to work at height, so the risks that come with ladders, cranes and cherry pickers are removed. It also avoids the cost and disruption of equipment hire and, in many cases, road closures.
Can you inspect assets on a working site?
Yes. We plan each inspection around your operations, agree take-off areas and timings with your site team, and follow your permit-to-work and site induction rules. A risk assessment and method statement is provided for every job.
What do I receive after the inspection?
As standard, a set of high-resolution images and 4K video covering the agreed areas, organised into folders and delivered through our secure online portal. If required, you can add a written condition report, measurements, or 3D and Revit models built from the same data, as long as this is agreed in advance.
