Drone surveys for places of worship. No scaffolding on historic fabric.
Roof, spire, tower and façade inspections for churches, cathedrals, mosques, temples and chapels, captured close up by drone without touching the building.
Built around the challenges of caring for a historic building
Places of worship are often old, tall and fragile, and looked after on tight budgets.
Fragile historic fabric
Scaffolding fixed to old stonework, lead and slate can cause damage. A drone inspects without touching the building.
Quinquennial and routine inspections
Church of England churches are inspected every five years. Close-up imagery helps your architect or surveyor see high-level areas they can’t reach.
Limited funds
Scaffold for an inspection alone can use up a repair budget. Drone imagery shows where work is needed first.
Storm and theft damage
After storms or lead theft, you need to see the damage quickly and safely to plan repairs and support insurance claims.
Leaks and damp
Blocked gutters and failed flashings let water into walls and roofs, damaging historic interiors.
Accurate records
Many historic buildings have no reliable drawings. 3D models and measured surveys give you an accurate record.
Surveys for every part of the building
From the top of the spire to the gutters, with imagery your architect, surveyor and congregation can all understand.

Can drone imagery be used for a quinquennial inspection?
Yes. Close-up imagery of roofs, spires and high-level stonework helps your inspecting architect or surveyor assess areas they can’t safely reach. The inspection itself is still carried out by them.
Do you need to put anything on the building?
No. Everything is captured from the air, so nothing touches the historic fabric.
Can you inspect inside the tower or roof space?
We focus on the outside of the building. Internal areas can be captured with 3D scanning where access allows.
Can you help after lead theft or storm damage?
Yes. We can quickly capture the damage to help plan repairs and support insurance claims.
Do you survey other faiths’ buildings?
Yes. We survey churches, cathedrals, mosques, temples, synagogues, gurdwaras and chapels.
