Drone surveys for heritage buildings. Nothing touches the historic fabric.
Condition imagery, 3D records and measured surveys for listed buildings, historic estates and monuments, captured without scaffolding against fragile fabric.
Built around the challenges of historic buildings
Heritage buildings are fragile, complex and often hard to reach, and every intervention needs care.
Fragile historic materials
Scaffold fixings and ladders can damage stone, lead, slate and timber. A drone captures without touching the building.
Accurate records
Many historic buildings have no reliable drawings. 3D models and point clouds give a precise, lasting record.
Planning works and consent
Accurate drawings and imagery support conservation plans, listed building consent and grant applications.
Monitoring change
Repeat surveys show how stonework, roofs and structures change over time.
Towers, spires and parapets
The highest parts of historic buildings are often the hardest to inspect and the most at risk.
Damp in solid walls
Water getting into historic fabric causes decay. Thermal imaging and gutter checks help find the source.
Surveys for historic buildings and sites
Careful, non-contact capture that gives conservation teams, architects and owners the detail they need.
Roof Surveys
Lead, slate, stone and tile roofs captured close up.

Heritage building questions
If yours isn’t answered here, give us a call on 0345 017 5592.
Do you need consent to survey a listed building by drone?
A survey that doesn’t touch or alter the building doesn’t normally need listed building consent. We always agree access and flight plans with the owner.
Can you produce drawings for conservation work?
Yes. We can provide measured drawings, elevations, point clouds and 3D models through our measured survey services.
Can you capture fine detail like carvings?
Yes. Close-up imagery and photogrammetry can record carved and decorative detail.
Can you survey the whole estate?
Yes. We can capture the main building, outbuildings and grounds using the same method throughout.
Can you monitor change over time?
Yes. Repeat surveys using the same method give a clear, dated comparison.
